Haiku #233 - Power and Light Disctrict

the streets are filled with
stumbling twenty-one-year-olds
on a Friday night

The Power and Light District is a really hip part of downtown Kansas City - lots of bars and restaurants and clubs etc. Seemed to be quite a young crowd out last night - definitely some people who were in the process of discovering the limits of their alcohol tolerance and ability to walk in stiletto heels. Not exactly my scene, but the infrastructure itself is really cool. Favorite spots: Latteland, Howl at the Moon, Flying Saucer, Gordon Biersch.

Tomorrow is closing night of In the Heights - one more performance at Starlight and then we're all on to the next thing, whatever that may be!

Haiku #232 - Solar System

tour is almost done
seen the whole country, and now
the solar system

Tee hee! Yes, I know - am I twelve? (apparently.)
