Haiku #68 - One-nighters

hotel one-nighters
illustrate well the concept
of "this too shall pass"

Whether it's a mysterious smell reminiscent of a floral crime scene cover-up, or crisp 1000-count sheets, it's over quickly.

But never mind that - I'm back in the city, and looking forward to sleeping in the same place for 35 nights in a row!  35 nights that will still pass quickly...

  1. Rule #1 in hotels like that- DO NOT MOVE THE FURNITURE EVEN IF IT'S ON YOUR WAY!!! House keeping wouldn't be bothered to do so, and most of the time you don't want to find a nasty evidence of what a previous habitant was doing in a shady hotel room. You should rather jump over that sofa blocking your way to the bathroom.
